Use LiteConvert from your AI agent
Install the skill and your AI coding assistant can convert files for you — just ask in chat. Free during the beta: the anonymous tier needs no key and no account, and signing in or using an API key raises the daily quota. The CLI is pure Python stdlib.
One-shot install (recommended)
Paste the prompt below into your AI assistant — it fetches the install guide, installs the skill into its own platform's skills directory, and verifies the result by itself.
Install the LiteConvert skill for me: fetch https://liteconvert.cc/docs/skill.md and follow its install steps to install the skill into your platform's skills directory, then verify the installation. Afterwards, briefly tell me what you can now do for me (convert / detect / formats).
Manual install by platform
Pick your agent, then run the two steps in a terminal.
Skills directory: ~/.claude/skills
Personal skills directory; repo-level .claude/skills works too.
Step 1 · Install (download 2 files)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert && cd ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert \
&& curl -fsSL https://liteconvert.cc/skill/SKILL.md -o SKILL.md \
&& curl -fsSL https://liteconvert.cc/skill/liteconvert.py -o liteconvert.py \
&& chmod +x liteconvert.pyStep 2 · Verify
python3 ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert/liteconvert.py --version
# Expected: liteconvert-skill 1.4.0
python3 ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert/liteconvert.py --helpQuick start
Everyday commands with the CLI installed under your platform's skills directory.
List conversions
python3 ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert/liteconvert.py formats pdfConvert a file
python3 ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert/liteconvert.py convert document.pdf --to pdf-docx -o /tmp/outDetect a file type
python3 ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert/liteconvert.py detect suspicious.binSave a webpage as PDF
python3 ~/.claude/skills/liteconvert/liteconvert.py convert --url https://example.com --to url-pdfUpdate
Compare `--version` with the badge above; if older, re-run the install step (idempotent overwrite). The skill files are stateless — nothing is persisted on your device.
